My Picture

The long shot creates attention towards the environment and landscape. The neutral angle puts us on the same level as the track, causing us to feel equal with it. The tracks force one to fallow them with their eyes. The sun is lighting part of the tracks and casting a shadow on the other half. This creates peaceful scenery. It gives the viewer the idea that it is at sunrise and that we are laying on the track, waiting for a train.

This is a really interesting photo. The flat camera angle makes it look as though we are aboard the train. The train track is a leading line and our eyes follow it. It seems to go on forever and is goes farther and farther into the distance. The black and white color makes me believe that it was from a long time ago. I think the story of this picture is that we are aboard a train and we are standing outside watching the scenery go by and we notice how far we still have to travel.

First off, I really like your picture. The Long shot, not only on the tracks, draws the eye to the rest of the landscaping too. Also, the flat angle gives the photo the appearance that we are staring right out at the tracks, like we are riding the train or something. The shadow cast over the tracks gives it a very calm, quiet sense. The color of the photo, like madeline says gives it a retro look, which, i also think, attrubutes to the calm, peacefulness of the photo.

This is a really good photo to analyze! I have a different perception of this photo than the other comments. This photo makes me feel a little lonely. The leading line towards the distance makes me feel like i'm walking down these tracks but I cannot see anything in the distance that I'm walking towards. It's like I'll be walking forever. Also, the lack of color adds to the feeling of lonliness. The long shot of the landscape shows alot of scenery, but there is no one else around.

The long shot leads your eyes down the tracks into the distance. The shadow covering part of the left of the picture directs the focus to the scenery and the tracks. The shadow also creates a calm peaceful feeling. The flat angle makes it seem that we are the train traveling into the distance.
